Privacy Policy
Effective August 5, 2026. Crownfront is operated by Fugitive Studios ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the Crownfront game and website collect, why, and the choices you have. It applies to the game apps (Android, iOS, Windows) and to crownfrontgame.com.
What we collect
Account information. When you register we collect your email address, a username, your character's gender selection, and a password. Passwords are stored only as salted cryptographic hashes — we cannot read them.
Location. Crownfront is a location-anchored game, but it never tracks you continuously. Your device's location is read only when you choose to establish or update your in-game world anchor (first spawn, or the Relocate option in Settings). We store your current anchor plus a short rolling history of recent relocations (about 30 days, at reduced precision) used solely to detect location spoofing and cheating. This history is deleted with your account. We never build or sell movement profiles.
Gameplay data. Your character's in-game position, inventory, currencies, skills, buildings, social relationships (friends and enemies), and progress are stored on our servers — they are the game.
Messages. Chat messages are retained for up to 14 days; in-game mail for up to 90 days. Staff may review messages that are reported for moderation.
Support. If you open a support ticket we keep the ticket contents and any images you attach.
Technical data. Our servers keep short-lived operational logs (including IP addresses and client version) for security, anti-abuse, and reliability. We do not run third-party advertising or analytics SDKs in the game.
How we use it
To operate the game world, keep accounts secure, prevent cheating and abuse, provide support, and send essential transactional email (account verification and password reset, delivered via our email provider, Resend). We do not send marketing email without your consent, and we do not sell your personal information.
Service providers
Crownfront runs on DigitalOcean infrastructure. The in-game map is served from Crownfront's own tile servers, delivered through Cloudflare's network: when the game loads map imagery, your device requests tiles from our map host, which receives your IP address and the map area being viewed (the map data itself comes from OpenStreetMap). Transactional email is delivered by Resend. These providers process data only to provide their services to us.
What other players see
Your username, public profile (bio, stats, trophies, friends and enemies lists), your character's position inside the shared game world, your buildings, and messages you send in public chat channels are visible to other players. Your email address and real-world location history are never shown to anyone.
Delete your Crownfront account
You can delete your Crownfront account (published by Fugitive Studios) yourself, at any time. Deletion is immediate and permanent — there is no waiting period, no deactivation step, and no way to undo it. Neither you nor our support team can bring the account back.
- In the game: Menu → Settings → the Account tab → Delete Account.
- On this website: sign in and go to /account/delete.
Both ask you to type a confirmation sentence and re-enter your password first. Nothing is deleted until you do.
What is deleted: your account and sign-in credentials, email address, profile (bio, trophies, friends and enemies), characters, inventory and currencies, buildings and territory, and your real-world anchor and location history.
Messages. Chat messages and in-game mail you have already sent are not deleted — other players received them, and they remain part of those players' conversations. Your author name is replaced with an anonymous placeholder, so the text is no longer linked to you or to any account.
Your username is released when your account is deleted, and may be registered by another player.
If you rule a kingdom, the crown passes automatically to that kingdom's longest-serving member. If you are its only member, the kingdom is disbanded and its Hall and territory are destroyed along with your account.
What may be kept: records we are legally required to retain (for example purchase and financial audit records), and anti-abuse records tied to enforcement actions — kept only as long as required and not under your former username or email. Economic audit records (what an account received and spent) are retained without any name or email attached to them. Encrypted server backups age out within 30 days of the deletion, after which no copy remains.
If you cannot sign in, email support@crownfrontgame.com from your registered address and we will delete the account for you.
Request deletion of your data without closing your account
If you want specific data removed but wish to keep playing Crownfront, you can request partial deletion instead:
- Email support@crownfrontgame.com from the email address registered to your account, with the subject "Delete my data", your in-game username, and what you want removed.
- We can delete without closing your account: your real-world anchor relocation history, profile bio and trophies, chat and mail message history (text other players received stays, with your name removed), and support tickets with their attachments. We will confirm what was removed within 30 days.
- Some data cannot be deleted separately because it IS the account or the shared game world — your username, sign-in email, characters, inventory, and buildings. Removing those means deleting the account (see above).
The same retention rules apply: legally required records and enforcement records may be kept as long as required, and encrypted backups age out within 30 days of any deletion.
Retention
Account and gameplay data are kept while your account exists. You can delete your account yourself at any time (see above), and deletion is immediate. You can also reach us through the support section of this website.
Children
Crownfront is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact support and we will delete it.
Changes and contact
We will post any material changes to this policy here with a new effective date. Questions or requests: use the support section of this website.
